Hinder My Headpin
Wild wings in bloom with no whither to proceed
Oft crash and burn, too deaf to heed
That voice in one’s head that speaks when one is wrong,
Then that maze called mind decides to set free,
Like a minatory Minotaur that won’t let one be,
The slayer of wise reason, so time to play along.

Watching a movie that was never made,
It stars lots of people who never were, none with names.
Dollar sign eyes ever-finalized on naught,
Left alone with regret, its lessons still untaught.

Then it really kicks in...

The walls come alive with pulsating color
That writhes to the orgy of some unheard tune.
Then come the spiders, one after the other,
To warn short-term memory it’s leaving very soon,
It’ll float away lightly like a cloud of silly steam
As the body goes heavy and sick and on its own.
Judgment becomes trapped in the delirious dream,
From the window of sanity reality is thrown...

Trapped in a tiny cell,
My personal hell,
Just giving birth, giving birth for
No one who cares,
No one to tell
What's on my mind.
For what crime do I deserve
To be locked in here?
It's for what I am,
What I can do,
But not for me anymore,
It's all for you
Who will never thank me
For the suffering I go through
Just giving birth, giving birth
In a cage,
In a cell, my undeserved prison...
Misery and stress and abject, torturesome boredom is my name.
You’ve surely come along so far...enjoy the taste...

The vision frailly fades, like the fairy that does to verity,
The linear beat of the clock crystallizes the disparity.
Then it is remembered, an appointment with Hypnos to keep,
The head hits the pillow hard for twelve hours of restless sleep.
"And they that read the book and debated thereon passed into the desolate land of Barren Words. And they that sealed up the book into their blood were the chosen of Adonai, and the Thought of Adonai was a Word and a Deed; and they abode in the Land that the far-off travellers call Naught."
