The Golem

Anybody got some interesting, or hard to find stuff on the Golem of ancient Jewish lore?

Apparently, the Jews brought unliving clay to life with the "word" or "breath" of God. On it's forehead, as well as charged with holy names.

I want one of these badly, and would pay for any actually helpful literature on the completion of one. But I wish to make one from gingerbread and have it run amok, disturbing/robbing/etc.. the upper-middle, and upper-class. She would also be my best friend, and we would have gingerbread-man makeout sessions with maple syrup and honey.

Jewish history is interesting indeed.. looking for correspondences in the Quaran but can't find anything too close to the Golem.

“The mushroom said to me once, ‘Nature loves courage. Nature loves courage,’ and I said, ‘What’s the payoff on that?’ And it said, ‘It shows you it loves courage because it removes obstacles.’ You make a commitment, and nature will respond to that commitment by removing impossible obstacles. Dream the impossible dream, and the world will not grind you under, it will lift you up.” -Terrence McKenna
