What is an Israelite?

From the bible and other sources I always hear how God will save the israelites, and I know of the country israel. What got me thinking was that while studying Gemetria, I wondered how Israel worked along these lines.

So I in my novice attempt worked out:

Israel = ISRAL = 10+60+2+1+30 = 103 (or 301 if you have r = 200)

And then worked out what the letters meant, and discovered the following:

I = The secret of the gate of initiation
S= Self Control & Self Sacrifice govern the Wheel
R = In the sun is the secret of spirit
A = Folly's Doom is Ruin
L = By Equilibrium and Self-Sacrifice, the gate.

Then worked out the 3 and 1 separated by 0 to get:
Divine Intelligence(3) separated by the infinite (0) from Unity(1).

So following all this, what exactly is an Israelite? Someone who is on the spiritual path?

It is of note that the name Israel means "he who contends with the Divine."

10 + 300 + 200 + 1 + 30 = 541.

I'm not sure how you get '2' for R/Resh. Are you dropping the zeroes? That makes it equivalent to Beth.

You can also spell out the name Israel with the Tarot Atus. Atu 9 The Hermit-Yod. Atu 20 The Aeon-Shin. Atu 19 The Sun-Resh. Atu 0 The Fool-Aleph. Atu 8 Adjustment-Lamed. Please remember that hebrew is written and read from right to left.

She says, "The word Israel symbolizes transformation of consciousness as exemplified in the Biblical story of Jacob, whom G-d renames Israel. The OP's 'error' leads to an interesting place.

As pointed out, Israel is Yod-Shin-Resh-Aleph-Lamed; 10+300+200+1+30 = 541

Or, using the Atus - IX-XX-XIX-0-VIII; 9+20+19+0+8 = 56

Now, "Israel" has personal meaning to me; my username is Avshalom Binyamin

Avshalom; Aleph-Beth-Shin-Lamed-Vav-Mem; 1+2+300+30+6+40 = 379
Binyamin; Beth-Nun-Yod-Mem-Yod-Nun; 2+50+10+40+10+50 = 162

379+162 - 541

But.... Using the Atus

Avshalom; 0-I-XX-VIII-V-XII; 0+1+20+8+5+12 = 46
Binyamin; I-XIII-IX-XII-IX-XIII; 1+13+9+12+9+13 = 57
