Is their nothing by Crowley or of the Thelemic way of life that gives you a specific step by step ritual ? Like the way they do in the books by Donald Michael Kraig .All the stuff I can find The Liber A'ash vel Capricorni,Liber Cheth,Stellae Rubeae and The Liber DCCCXI - Energised Enthusiasm is all so hard to understand with no specific experiences to have with it.Crowley experimented most of the time then why are all the books of his order all theory ? Maybe its just because Im new to the Thelemic way of life that I dont understand and that is irritating me no end.The only thing so far in my exploration I have found that is even remotely easy to understand is J Daniel Gunther's -Initiation in the Aeon of the Child but as far as I have discovered it has nothing to do with Sex Magick and a few other aspects of thelema that interest me .The language in most of the Thelemic Books is not modern and that adds to the difficulty of understanding them.I feel like a fish diving into the ocean of Thelema and is lost before he can even enter.

dknigh93, you have step by step instructions on building rituals in Liber O. Just do that, and use sex as the engine of it.
At least that is the way I do it.

It seems to me that every single ritual Crowley wrote was a "sex ritual". But I'm guessing you're looking for the more explicit juicy stuff?

i would like to relate some on my own experiences here in order to demonstrate my point. When i was an initiate i would get many experiences- however none of them during Orgasm(O).

For me enlightenment was a specific trance, experience that lasted about 10 months. It was during that trance that one morning, i stumbled upon the magical virtues of O. It actually took me many years to find out what it was i envisioned. It was only then that i first realized just how an important tool O is.

My point is that i feel that the use of O will only assist you in exploring areas you have already achieved. According to my example unless you have achieved adeptship you will not be able to do anything with it. Correct me if you have experiences otherwise. Unless you have a solid foundation on magick you will not be able to use O. i imagine, that like myself, you have(or should be practising) designing your own rituals and by the time you can understand the effect of O you should be quite capable of understanding where in the ritual O is to be placed etc etc.

O is singularly the most powerful tool for use of the Priest- i cannot emphasize this enough. High magick most dependent on it.

What you do of course is your business and i am not to tell you what to do. I beleive, however, that Israel Regardie wrote 'Mass of the holy ghost'. However, it does not give specific details on the inner workings. Grant hints at it- and the rest is up to you. There is a reason why 1 few actually have experienced- in a magical sense O. That is few ever pick up on what happens- on the inside and 2 I deeply beleive Crowley did not give specifics because he knew that Priest true would work it out anyhow.

Quite aside from that i suggest you get a foundation in Freud and Willhelm Reich.

There's also a book I've been reading by Lon Milo Duquette and Christopher Hyatt called Taboo: Sex, Religion, and Magick. It's a good starter kit for lesser magick and also has some examples of step-by-step ceremonial types. There's a good chunk of Crowley stuff in there, but I found all of it to be pretty useful. Especially if you're looking to do some Enochian Work.

What i mean by a 'solid foundation' in magick is - get the basics down pat first. This is like earning yourself a medical degree- however well worth it. It will take years of serious study, ceremonial magick and meditation.

Then achieve enlightenment or KCHGA (as some put it)

THen cross abyss- or is it throww yourself into the abyss- just a matter pf erspective.

Then, as the case with myself, you should be ready to understand the very very important tool of O.

O after enlightment the most important function of man.

yeh well that is one way. As a matter of fact lately i have been reflecting upon this myself- in terms of the 7 years i spent in a 'wandering' 'listless' state, a dark baron place, after enlightenment and before the crossing. I have difficulty explaining it.

For me i will describe hte experience. You see, i am alcoholic. The 7 years i spent in this lifeless, spiritless state was me mustering enough energy to make the leap. One night, i lost my pet cockatoo to a snake, he was high high up a tree, it was raining, clouds covered to moonless night- i could not see him, i tried ot climb hte tree but couldnot- i had to sit there and listen. he was my only friend.

Then my only other friend left town, i had a breakdown. I realized i was going to die if i didn't stop drinking. So i prayed to my HGA for help, a message came back 'no use the word god' and again and again- so i 'gave in' I ' threw in the towel' I 'quite trying to run the show' and i did what my intuition said and prayed to god. immediately i felt relive, my tears dried and i fell to sleep. The next day i rang AA. The following monday i spoke to my mother and said i am going to be ok as AA gave me hope- my mum died 4 hours later.

After the funeral, i went back to AA every day and night for a month. It was months or years before i realized what i had done. Anyway that was 8 years ago. It was like i had to 'surrender' to higher powers. As the word Islam infers.

now i am clean and sober and kicking {***}. I can relate to the way kenneth GRant put it in the frog who makes the leap. you have to allow natural forces to take you, your true forces. Ego does not transcend. So difficult to explain- but the symbolize sure works for me.

In finishing my story, might i point out that i have had many visions and experiences over the past 30 years. However, it was only last January that i found the meaning of Tantra. This is a most powerful tool- the most powerful. Sexual energies and most important, they release subtle energies up the Kundalini and explode the chakras open, the results and contacts with sort of energies Crowley was trying to show us. So if you think for one minute that Tantra is a sort cut to 'enlightenment' - think again . Enlightenment is only achieved through hard work, sweat and (yes in my case) tears. There are many crack pots out there who think they know it, however, if my life is any example you will not know what it is about till, after the hard work is done, after enlightenment and after the crossing- and then some(sexual maturity?).

But in this case it was a series of events that led to my breakdown, which in turn was my personal story.
