Liber LXV, Cap II, v. 4-6

4. Stooping down, dipping my wings, I came unto the darkly-splendid abodes. There in that formless abyss was I made a partaker of the Mysteries Averse.
5. I suffered the deadly embrace of the Snake and of the Goat; I paid the infernal homage to the shame of Khem.
6. Therein was this virtue, that the One became the all.
"Write, & find ecstasy in writing! Work, & be our bed in working! Thrill with the joy of life & death! Ah! thy death shall be lovely: whoso seeth it shall be glad. Thy death shall be the seal of the promise of our age long love. Come! lift up thine heart & rejoice! We are one; we are none."

The stooping down is done intentionally; seems to be entering into the roots (invisible Foundation) of Earth. There is raw energy of creative chaos there, as it is manifested on the lower astral plane (it has mirroring properties?); the deadly embrace of the Snake and of the Goat is how this energy functions; the shame of Khem associates of (psychological) Shadows abiding here. This experience is akin to the motion of the Flaming Sword (instantaneous, continuous emanation from 1 into 10).
