Liber LXV, Cap. III, v. 42-44
42. She hath been broken in pieces upon the Wheel; the hands of the hangman have bound her unto it.
43. The fountains of water have been loosed upon her; she hath struggled with exceeding torment.
44. She hath burst in sunder with the weight of the waters; she hath sunk into the awful Sea.
"Write, & find ecstasy in writing! Work, & be our bed in working! Thrill with the joy of life & death! Ah! thy death shall be lovely: whoso seeth it shall be glad. Thy death shall be the seal of the promise of our age long love. Come! lift up thine heart & rejoice! We are one; we are none."

Nefesh clings to the familiar, tenaciously perpetuating the closed loops; but even this gets dissolved, in its right/ripe time, by natural way of Karma; at last, all resistance is bound to give way to the all-dissolving pull of the Mighty Mother (awful Sea - Biynah in Her form as Kali).
