Liber LXV, Cap. IV, v. 5-6
5. I will make me a little boat of my tongue, and explore the unknown rivers. It may be that the everlasting salt may turn to sweetness, and that my life may be no longer athirst.
6. O ye that drink of the brine of your desire, ye are nigh to madness! Your torture increaseth as ye drink, yet still ye drink. Come up through the creeks to the fresh water; I shall be waiting for you with my kisses.
"Write, & find ecstasy in writing! Work, & be our bed in working! Thrill with the joy of life & death! Ah! thy death shall be lovely: whoso seeth it shall be glad. Thy death shall be the seal of the promise of our age long love. Come! lift up thine heart & rejoice! We are one; we are none."

The unknown rivers: new streams of experience, initiated by the voice of Will-Love. The Eternal seeks the finite as does the finite seek for the Infinite.
Metaphor is given of Adept's desire being like quenching the thirst with salty water - thus it intensifies to the brink of madness; persevere, she is instructed, go "up through the creeks" i.e. search for the fresh water at its spring; I'm reminded of "refine thy rapture" and " But exceed! exceed!".
